Will Smith says to Chris Rock in a new video that was released on Friday, July 29, 2022, “My behavior was inappropriate, and I’m available whenever you’re ready to chat.” Will Smith was previously in the spotlight for purposefully slapping Chris Rock onstage at the Oscars four months prior in response to a joke about his wife’s shaved head.
On Friday, Will Smith posted the apologetic video to Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube. According to him:
“I’ve reached out to Chris and the message that came back is that he’s not ready to talk, and when he is he will reach out.”

We had a great relationship. Tony Rock was my man. This is probably irreparable” Will said.
