Who was the Twin Towers in basketball: In the NBA, Ralph Sampson and Hakeem Olajuwon were known as the Twin Towers. Hakeem Olajuwon was picked by the Rockets in 1984, and the two became known as the “Twin Towers,” an unstoppable basketball duo that appeared in the NBA All-Star Game in 1985.

Samson was the first choice in the NBA draft in 1983, and he is the all-time most recruited collegiate basketball player. Sampson was drafted by the Houston Rockets and went on to win the NBA Rookie of the Year Award and make his first of four All-Star Game appearances.

In 1986, Sampson injured his knee and was traded to the Golden State Warriors. He went on to play for the Sacramento Kings and the Washington Bullets in the NBA. After failing to fully recover from significant knee and back injuries, Sampson retired in 1992.



Hakeem Abdul Olajuwon is a Nigerian-born former professional basketball player. He led the Rockets to back-to-back NBA victories in 1994 and 1995. Olajuwon was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2008, and in 2016, he was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame.

He was given the honor of being inducted into the FIBA Hall of Fame. He is widely recognized as one of the best centers of all time, as well as a terrific basketball player. Who was the Twin Towers in basketball
