Who was Larry Lacewell: Larry Lacewell was a collegiate football coach, scout, and administrator in the United States. From 1979 until 1989, he was the head football coach at Arkansas State University. On February 12, 1937, he was born.

Where did Larry Lacewell coach?

Lacewell began his coaching career as a graduate assistant at the University of Alabama under Bear Bryant. In 1961, he went on to coach at Arkansas State, Arkansas A&M, and Kilgore Junior College in Oklahoma.

In 1973, he joined Barry Switzer’s staff as an assistant head coach, and the teams went on to win six Big Eight crowns and two national championships in the following years.
