Ric Parnell Cause Of Death
Parnell was born into a family of musicians. Russ Carr, his grandfather, was a music hall performer, and his father, Jack Parnell, was a jazz drummer and musical director for Associated Television.
In 1970, Parnell was a member of Horse, a short-lived hard rock band that issued only one album before disbanding. He joined the progressive rock band Atomic Rooster shortly after, but quit after only two months. He was invited back to Atomic Rooster at the end of 1971, and stayed long enough to play on the band’s final two albums.
In 1984, Parnell made his breakthrough as Mick Shrimpton in the mockumentary This Is Spinal Tap. His character was one of a long series of unlucky drummers who all died in bizarre accidents, with spontaneous combustion being his fate.
There isn’t much known about Parnell’s personal life, and there’s no way of knowing whether he was married and had children when he died.
