The late comedian’s nephew, Chico Lazaro Alinell, verified the news of his passing. After hearing the heartbreaking news from his relative, GMA News Online then announced his passing.

A day before Lazaro passed away, Chico went to see his uncle and saw that he was having respiratory problems. Lazaro got his start in comedy at a Manila establishment called The Library.



Lazaro has acted in productions like “Anna Karenina” and “Villa Quintana.” The movies “Wanted: Perfect Mother” (1996), “Kailangan Ko’y Ikaw” (2000), and “Unexpectedly Yours” all featured him as a leading man (2017). Phillip Lazaro Sickness
