Peter Robinson Parents: Peter Robinson, a Canadian crime novelist of British descent, died on October 4, 2022. His Yorkshire-based crime thrillers with Inspector Alan Banks are his best-known works.

Robinson and his wife Sheila Halladay resided in the Beaches neighborhood of Toronto[6], and he periodically lectured on crime writing at the University of Toronto’s School of Continuing Studies.

In addition, he taught at several institutions in Toronto and held the position of Writer-in-Residence at the University of Windsor from 1992 to 1993. Richmond, North Yorkshire, was home to Robinson’s vacation home with his wife. On October 4, 2022, he passed away at the age of 72.

Meet Miriam Jarvis and Clifford Robinson

There isn’t much information available on Peter Robinson’s family because he hasn’t talked much about them or made any of them public.

Robinson graduated from the University of Leeds with a BA in English Literature with Honors. Following his immigration to Canada in 1974, he attended the University of Windsor for his MA in English and Creative Writing, where Joyce Carol Oates served as his mentor, and York University in Toronto for his Ph.D. in English.
