In 1967-68, the Associated Press recognized him honorable mention all-league. As a junior and senior, he was named to the coaches’ All-SEC teams. Pratt was nominated to two Second Team All-America teams during his senior year.
Pratt coached the 49ers for four seasons, finishing with a 55–52 record before being fired after the 1981–82 season.
