Max rose to stardom with his starring role in The Mack, a 1973 American blaxploitation film directed by California native Michael Campus. Since then, he featured in several moves including Cleopatra Jones (1973) Screenwriter, Def Jam’s How to Be a Player (1997) as Uncle Fred, and others.
