Maui Chapman is best known as the ex-wife of Leland Chapman, a well-known American bail bondsman and star of “Dog the Bounty Hunter.”
Maui Chapman was born in 1957 in Kailua, Hawaii. Maui Chapman has succeeded in maintaining a low profile, as a result of which there is no information about her parents or siblings (if any).
Maui Chapman met Leland Chapman in the early 1990s, and the two married in 1995 after dating for a period. Maui Chapman’s marriage to Leland Chapman catapulted her into the spotlight because her husband was the star of the TV show Dog the Bounty Hunter. Maui Chapman featured in two episodes of Dog the Bounty Hunter – Father and Son (2004) and Brother’s Keeper (2005) – as a guest star (2005). Cobie and Dakota Chapman are Maui Chapman’s two children (a step-son).
Maui Chapman’s marriage to Leland Chapman, however, ended after more than ten years of marriage. After Leland Chapman was arrested and imprisoned, the marriage began to fall apart. Leland Chapman is also suspected of having had an extramarital affair. It came as no surprise when Leland began dating another lady after he was released from prison. Maui and Leland Chapman ended their relationship in 2002, but their divorce was finalized on April 21, 2005.
Maui Chapman has remained out of the spotlight after her divorce from Leland Chapman, and it is unclear whether she has remarried.
