He shot a second-round 67 in last year’s Tournament to get within three strokes of the lead after 36 holes before ending T21.

A victory at the Players Championship and a T2 finish at the PGA Tour tournament at Sherwood Country Club were highlights of his 2021 season.

Thomas, 28, was named to captain Steve Stricker’s Ryder Cup team by default and won two matches in the US triumph over Europe.

Thomas is the son and grandson of PGA of America teaching pros and was an All-American at the University of Alabama. In winning the 2017 PGA Championship, Thomas paid tribute to both of them.

Thomas began his professional career in 2013 and qualified for the Tour through qualifying school.

At the 2014 Nationwide Children’s Hospital Championship, he won his first professional event. Thomas won his PGA Tour card for the 2015 season after finishing fifth in the 2014 Tour regular season and third following the Tour Finals.

Thomas has seven top-10 finishes and 15 top-25 finishes in 2015, with fourth-place performances at the Quicken Loans National and Sanderson Farms Championship being his finest achievements.

He finished 32nd in the PGA Tour’s FedEx Cup, losing out to Daniel Berger for Rookie of the Year. Justin Thomas Masters Finishes
