Julian Assange Extradition: Julian Assange is now detained in the United Kingdom, but according to the UK Home Secretary, he may be extradited to the United States. Authorities in the United States are looking for him for releasing classified documents in 2010 and 2011. The records concerned the conflicts in Afghanistan and Iraq, and the Americans claimed that they endangered lives and violated the law. Julian Assange has 14 days to appeal the judgment, according to the UK home secretary.

Assange sought sanctuary in the Ecuadorian embassy in London, UK, to avoid being extradited to the United States. He claims he was a victim of human rights violations and that if he is deported, he will suffer harsh treatment. The Swedish government had been investigating him for sexual assaults a few years ago, but the case was abandoned.

Assange and two other “hackers,” Trax and Prime Suspect, founded “The International Subversives,” a hacking gang. According to accounts, Julian Assange and his group of hackers were part of a group known as WANK (Worms Against Nuclear Killers) that attacked NASA in 1989, although this claim was never confirmed.
