When Joan, Vin’s first wife, passed away in 1972 at the age of 35, they had been together for almost 15 years.

She reportedly died from a “accidental overdose of medicine,” according to sources. Vin raised all three of the small children he and Joan had together after Joan passed away.

Vin Scully passed away on August 2, 2022, fifty years after the demise of his first wife Joan. At the age of 94, he passed away in his Hidden Hills, California, home.

Vin was most known for his 67 seasons of game calling for the Los Angeles Dodgers of Major League Baseball, starting in 1950 (when the team was based in Brooklyn) and ending in 2016.

In addition to calling several nationally televised football and golf events for CBS Sports from 1975 to 1982, Scully also called Dodgers baseball games. From 1983 to 1989, Scully served as the principal baseball play-by-play commentator for NBC Sports.

Additionally, from 1979 to 1982 and once again from 1990 to 1997, he was the World Series announcer for CBS Radio. Joan Crawford Cause Of Death
