Christina Claire Ciminella, Wynonna Ellen Judd’s mother, was born on May 30, 1964, in Ashland, Kentucky, to Naomi Judd and Charles Jordan.

Charles Jordan, Wynonna Judd’s biological father, died in 2000. Ashley Judd, her younger half-sister, is an actress. She rose to prominence in the 1980s as a member of the Judds, a country music duo with her mother Naomi.

Before disbanding in 1991, Wynonna Judd and her mother Naomi had issued seven albums on Curb Records. She has established herself as one of the most well-known and award-winning female country singers.
