Gary Burgess Cause Of Death – Born in Manchester, Gary Burgess was a British broadcaster and journalist, notably in the Channel Islands. He was born on 13 November 1975 and died 1 January 2022, in Saint Helier, Jersey.

Gary Burgess died in his sleep but the cause of Gary Burgess’ death is terminal cancer. In November of 2020, he was diagnosed with terminal cancer having retired from broadcasting in August 2021 to focus on his health and wellbeing.

Gary Burgess was Known for working with ITV Channel TV, Channel 103, BBC Radio Guernsey, Island FM, Radio Wave 96.5.

Gary Burgess made the move to ITV Channel TV’s Guernsey office in 2011, and later relocated to Jersey.  He was a finalist in the Royal Television Society Southern Awards 2021.

Gary married his long-term partner Alan in 2018, becoming the first same-sex couple in Jersey to convert a civil partnership to marriage after the island legalized same-sex marriage.

Gary Burgess was awarded a Silver Seal by Jersey’s Bailiff, Timothy Le Cocq, in recognition of his contribution to island life.
