Did Dameon Pierce Get Drafted: Dameon Pierce, a Florida running back, was picked with the second pick in the fourth round on Saturday.

During the 2022 NFL Draft in Las Vegas, Nevada, he was selected 107th overall and sent to Houston, Texas.

Pierce played in 50 games for the Gators during his four-year UF career after joining with the program out of Bainbridge, Georgia, where he was a high school legend.

Pierce chose the Gators over Alabama, Florida State, and Miami as a four-star recruit, and he saw action as a true freshman, accumulating 69 touches, 424 rushing yards, two touchdowns, and averaging 6.1 yards per carry.

Pierce had a similar role in 2019 before taking over as UF’s primary running back in 2020, when he led the team in rushing with 503 yards and four touchdowns. He also has 17 receptions for 156 yards and a touchdown on the season. Did Dameon Pierce Get Drafted

Pierce only had 100 rushes in 13 games as a result of UF’s by-committee style in the backfield in 2021, with Pierce, Malik Davis, and Nay’Quan Wright.

Regardless, he demonstrated an aptitude for finding the end zone both on the ground and in the air. Pierce rushed for 13 touchdowns and grabbed 19 passes for 216 yards and three touchdowns.

Pierce tied for seventh and sixth in a single season in Florida history with 13 running touchdowns and 16 total touchdowns, respectively. Did Dameon Pierce Get Drafted
