Clayton Ruby Cause of Death: According to reports, Clayton Ruby passed away naturally.

On August 2, 2022, at the age of 80, civil rights attorney and activist Clayton Ruby passed away.

His law firm, Ruby Shiller Enenajor DiGiuseppe, announced Ruby’s passing on Twitter.

“Clay was a committed supporter of human rights, a protector of the weaker person, and a devoted friend. The company wrote, “Our firm mourns the loss of our leader and mentor. Our sympathies are with his family.

Lawyer and activist Clayton Charles Ruby CM practiced constitutional, criminal, and civil rights law.
Ruby, who was born in Toronto, Ontario, graduated from York University with a Bachelor of Arts in 1963. In 1969, he graduated with a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Toronto, and the following year, he was admitted to the bar. He graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, with a Master of Laws in 1973.



Ruby worked as a partner with Marlys Edwardh at the law company Ruby & Edwardh from 1976 to 2008. He was a partner at the Toronto, Ontario legal office of Ruby Shiller Chan Hasan after 2007. Clayton Ruby Cause of Death

 

On the website of the Governor General, Ruby is referred to as “a famous criminal lawyer with a reputation that reaches across the country [who] devoted his career to the cause of justice.” Ruby was awarded the Order of Canada in 2005.

Ruby worked on issues ranging from Guy Paul Morin’s exoneration to the rights of LGBTQ individuals.

The two daughters and wife of Clayton Charles Ruby are still alive. Madam Justice Harriet Sachs.
