Chris Kamara Set To Quit Sky Sports; Following a health scare this season, Sky Sports reporter Chris Kamara will depart the organization at the conclusion of the season, after 24 years with the company.

For years, the reporter has been a fan favorite on Soccer Saturday, enthusiastically reporting from games all throughout the country.

Kamara is well known for his catchphrase “unbelievable Jeff,” which he invented in 2010 after missing a player get sent off in a game between Portsmouth and Blackburn.

But he’ll be back on TV shortly in the new ITV show ‘The Games,’ which premieres on May 9.

After spectators heard him slurring his words, Kamara disclosed he had been battling a speech issue called Apraxia of Speech. Chris Kamara Set To Quit Sky Sports

“My long tenure with Sky Sports has never felt like work,” Kamara stated in a statement. I’ve had a wonderful 24 years at Sky and will retire with many fond memories.

“My time with Jeff on Soccer AM, Goals on Sunday, and, of course, Soccer Saturday has been – to use a cliché — incredible.

“I’ve had the time of my life and am looking forward to checking in as a fan every Saturday.”

Since announcing his retirement, fans and colleagues have paid tribute to the much-loved reporter.
