Casey Skudin Obituary: On Friday, June 17, 2022, Casey Skudin, a firefighter at Ladder 137 on Beach 116th Street and a Long Beach native, died in a horrific vehicle accident.

Casey Skudin, a firefighter, was on vacation with his family on Friday, June 17th, 2022 when he was killed in a car accident.

According to reports, Firefighter Skudin was travelling with his family when a tree fell and hit their car, causing the disaster.

On Biltmore Estate, a tree fell over a street, striking a vehicle and killing one person.

Three people and one child were in the car at the time of the unfortunate tragedy, according to sources, and they were taken to Mission Hospital. Casey Skudin Obituary



Buncombe County EMS and Asheville Fire Department were the first on the scene, according to a spokesman, with assistance from Biltmore onsite employees.

Significant injuries claimed the life of one of the adults inside the vehicle.

Casey Skudin got numerous FDNY medals throughout his firefighting career for his work in water rescues and rescuing Rockaway residents during Hurricane Sandy.

Casey Skudin will go down in history as one of New York City’s most illustrious firefighters.
