Carol Raye Obituary: Carol Raye, an Australian actress and television producer, died on June 19, 2022, at the age of 99, in her home in Sydney.

She began her profession as a dancer when she was 16 years old. She then married and moved to the United States with her veterinary husband, Robert Ayre Smith.

She created and performed in the television series The Mavis Bramston Show in 1964.

She had just received an award for her contribution to the Australian film industry a week before her death.

Carol is survived by her three children, including Sally Ayre Smith and Harriet, Carol’s daughters.

Sally worked on SeaChange as a co-producer, and Harriet is currently employed with the Sydney Theatre Company.
