Bill was born on the 15th of October, 1927. He pitched left-handed for the Boston Red Sox, Chicago Cubs, Cincinnati Reds, San Francisco Giants, Pittsburgh Pirates, and Houston Astros, among others.

After a brief stint with the Red Sox, Bill played collegiate baseball with the Houston Cougars.

He also played baseball at the University of Houston, making two starts during his career.

Henry died in 2007 after becoming a victim of identity theft.

He was a resident of Deer Park, Texas, a suburb of Houston.
