Arnold Walker: At the age of 70, the former Workington Town and Whitehaven star died. He was widely regarded as one of the county’s best players of all time. On May 13, 2022, his death was announced.

In a statement on their website, Workington Town RLFC said he battled illness and passed away with his loving wife Hazel by his side. His children have not been identified.

During the 1970s and 1980s, Thomas Arnold Walker played professional rugby league football in England. Walker was admitted into the Town and Haven halls of fame as a representative of Great Britain and England.

Former clubs have paid touching homage to a man once ranked the best scrum-half in the world. Workington Town posted on Twitter, “We are terribly heartbroken to hear that Boxer Walker has passed away.”

“We are all heartbroken at Whitehaven Rugby League to learn of the passing of a Cumbrian rugby league legend Boxer Walker,” Whitehaven said.
